David started out at 7 Bedford Row chambers in London doing civil and criminal work in the East Midlands. Then I moved to 23 Essex Street in London where I was prosecution junior on a £51m carousel fraud prosecution. I did a secondment to the CPS Organised Crime Division. Then in 2013 I joined the CPS as a Senior Crown Advocate based in Nottingham. In 2019 I joined the Law Commission working in the criminal law team and was part of the teams reviewing the law of confiscation and the law of corporate criminal liability. In 2022 I was appointed a Recorder to sit in the Crown Court and joined Bank House Chambers! I am a Grade 4 prosecutor and a member of the RASSO panel of specialist advocates
