We take great pride in providing the highest levels of training, supervision and support

Have you completed the Bar Professional Training Course? Are you looking to join a set that can nurture and develop you as a barrister? Talk to us about doing your pupillage here. We like to ensure our pupils can be the best they can be when they qualify as a barrister.

We have a well-established record of taking on pupils with a view to tenancy on completion (although of course this can’t be guaranteed).

Pupillage vacancies are advertised here (see below), as well as on the Bar Council Pupillage Gateway, in accordance with the timetable. However, applications must come direct to us.

Next pupillage vacancies: 2021

We fully expect to offer two common-law pupillages to start in September 2021: they both rotate through all areas of practice, thus providing a well-rounded pupillage. These are funded in accordance with the Pupillage Funding Rules, which means £15,728 per annum (earnings above this level are yours, subject to the usual liabilities). Please monitor this webpage for any future announcements.

  • 11 January 2021 – Pupillage applications will be accepted from 9am
  • 15 February 2021 – All applications must have been received by 12 noon
