Equality & Diversity
We are committed to promoting an equal and diverse environment which is free from discrimination (whether direct, indirect, or by victimisation) on the grounds of age, disability, gender reassignment, marriage and civil partnerships, pregnancy and maternity, race (including colour, nationality and ethnic or national origins), religion or belief, sex or sexual orientation.
Further, we actively monitor the activities conducted within Chambers to ensure compliance with the Equality Act 2010 and the Bar Handbook and our policy applies to all persons within Chambers, whether they be staff, tenants, pupils or clients.
We will ensure any reasonable adjustments are made to our practices to accommodate any disability needs. However, we have taken the decision not to publish whether any persons within Chambers are disabled for confidentiality reasons.
The Equality Officer within Chambers is Kath Goddard QC and the Diversity Data Officer is Jasmine Harrison.
As part of our ongoing, continual commitment to ensuring compliance and promotion equality and diversity we have published the results from our equality and diversity survey conducted. The results can be downloaded here Diversity Data 2021 Analysis.
Whilst all members of chambers and staff were invited to participate in the survey some members exercised their right to withhold their Diversity Data and others exercised their right to prefer not to provide specific information.
